The City of Lago Vista is a home rule municipality located in the Hill Country of Travis County, TX. The City was incorporated in 1984 and operates under the Council-Manager form of government with a Mayor and six Council members.
The two major components to this system of government are the City Council; and a City Manager.
The City Council is the legislative body, establishing City policies, while the City Manager is the administrator, designated to carry out the directives of the Council.
